Manufacture/Restoration/Rebuilding
Good organ building practice demands that only the best quality materials are used in the construction of new, or the reconstruction / rebuilding / restoration of existing instruments.
It is the policy of the company, wherever possible, to use Australian timbers which are well seasoned, and carefully chosen.
Likewise with the choice of leather, switching systems, specialist mechanical action parts, and other componentry, that make up the “the King of Instruments.”
Over the past 150 years, much knowledge has been gained by the industry, and passed down, concerning the construction of durable instruments capable of withstanding the sometimes hash Australian climatic conditions, and the more recent introduction of, efficient air conditioning and heating systems.
No matter how well an instrument is built, it is essential that it is thoughtfully designed to ensure that it conforms with the above philosophy, and that all areas of the organ are easily accessible for economical ongoing tuning and maintenance requirements.
